In 1993, the idea for Train-Safe was born.
The business actually started when owner and managing director Bernd Berg was looking for something to remove and archive entire trains from the model railway layout. At the beginning there was a wooden model, bulky and hard to handle. Then in an acrylic joinery, the actual "prototype" of the later successful model "Train-Safe" was built. the busnies idea was born when this prototype was finished. Initially, a small number of tubes were manufactured on an analog milling maschine. However, it had been difficult to offer these to retailers. The breakthrough came with an ad in a model railway magazine and the first fair in Cologne. Then suddenly there were so many orders that they could no longer cope with the small machine. What began then as a fun tinker soon turned into a real company.
And the beginnings were typical of many a company history: It was initially produced in an acrylic joinery, where HLS was sub-leased. Later, the move to Hünsborn, and finally at 2010 the new building on the Wilhelmshöhe at Freudenberg.
We woult like to express our sincere thanks to our customers, without them and the trust in our products such a success woult not have been possible.
